The Ferry ride and Seattle

The ferry from Sidney to Anacortes was relaxing and enjoyable.  There was a whale sighting during the crossing, but we didn't get to see it.  Really a shame....I would have loved to add that picture to our "animal sighting's"!  The trip down to Issaquah went much faster then we expected so we got in at a good time.  David and Quinn came by for a visit after we got set up.  We've been having a nice time with them and getting to see lots of the Seattle area.  Yesterday they took us up to see the Hiram M. Chittenden locks and fish ladder....really cool stuff!  There were several boats going through the locks so it was fun to watch the whole process.  Unfortunately it's the wrong time of year for the salmon to make their run up the ladder so we didn't get to see that.  We did see a seal.  David took us to the Underground Tour of old Seattle and the Farmer's Market at the Pier.  The tour guide for the Underground was especially good and made learning the history of the city enjoyable and with his twists of humor we laughed a lot.  We rented a car on Tuesday for the week.   Graduation is tomorrow.  Can't wait to see Quinn walk up and get that diploma.
