From Seattle to the coast of Oregon

The BBQ at our campsite was a chance to celebrate Quinn one more time.

This bunny wanted to hang out with us at the campfire

Ummmm Yum, S'mores for dessert

We had breakfast with David at the Issaquah Cafe before we left.  This was his breakfast!

Mount St. Helen's Visitor Center tells the story of what happened when it erupted.  Lot's of pictures and a short video tells it all.  It's been long enough that the area has pretty much returned to normal, but I remember seeing it shortly after the eruption and it was an incredible scene.  It was a cloudy, rainy day so we couldn't even see the mountain.

Mt. St. Helen's   too rainy and cloudy to see the mountain first hand

Incredible caption of the eruption

We were headed to the Columbia River Gorge this morning and on the way came across this dam and fish ladder.  Great opportunity to see walk all around across the dam and down below to where they watch the fish climb the ladders.  They actually count the fish!

Pacific Lamprey....looked like an octopus to me.  Yuck!

not us, but you get the idea what it was like to cross
The Air Museum was a pleasant surprise as we were headed to the Coast of Oregon.  Found it quite by accident, but ended up spending a couple of hours walking around.  Aside from the Spruce Goose there are lots and lots of historic planes and helicopters on display.  It's an amazing museum.

Spruce Goose at the Evergreen Air Museum.  Totally awesome facility!

This horse was standing so still I thought it was a stature until it moved.  Gorgeous horse.
